Pulmonary Hypertension Screening in Patients With Interstitial Lung Disease for Earlier Detection
Study GMS-PH-001 is a multicenter, open-label, non-randomized study to prospectively evaluate screening strategies of pulmonary hypertension (PH) in patients with interstitial lung disease (ILD).

Pulmonary Hypertension SOLAR
The main goal of this study is to develop a noninvasive signature for pulmonary vascular remodeling in Group 3 PH patients, using hyperpolarized 129Xe magnetic resonance imaging (129Xe MRI). Such a signature may identify Group 3 PH responders to PAH-specific therapies. PAH's unique 129Xe MRI signature has been shown in previous studies. Past studies have lacked a pathologic "ground truth" correlate of these signatures, which could be provided by comparing them with the pathology of lung explant tissue from patients who have undergone a lung transplant. This signature could be validated in a cohort of patients with Group 3 PH in ...

Pulmonary Vascular Hemodynamics Before and After Mitral Valve Procedures
The objective of this proposal is to study circulating and echocardiographic markers of pulmonary vascular and right ventricular remodeling in patients with a WHO-2 diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension after mitral valve procedures. The investigators are proposing the study will be impactful for the early detection and prediction and of residual pulmonary hypertension (PH) that would otherwise be undetected and fatal with no curative treatment.

Pulmonary Vein Isolation (PVI) Combined With Renal Denervation (RDN) in Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Hypertension (HTN)
The close relationship between the increase of sympathetic tension, AF, and HTN cannot be ignored. In addition, the significant failure rate of PVI (20-50%) in the treatment of AF makes it very necessary to explore the effect of RDN on AF. Therefore, this study aims to compare the effects and safety of PVI alone and PVI combined with RDN with AF combined with HTN, which will open a new chapter for PVI combined with RDN in the treatment of AF.

PV Loop and Pulmonary Hypertension
The right ventricular (RV) systolic function is a key determinant of outcome in patients with pulmonary hypertension and elevated pulmonary vascular resistance. As the pulmonary artery pressure and vascular resistance increase (i.e. RV afterload) in these patients, so does the right ventricular contractility in an attempt to maintain cardiac output. This is response of a ventricle to its afterload is termed ventriculo-arterial (VA) coupling. However, there is a limit to this increase in contractility after which VA uncoupling occurs ultimately leading to decrease cardiac output and right ventricular failure. The accepted gold standard for ...

PVRI GoDeep Global Deep Phenotyping Meta-Registry for Pulmonary Hypertension
PVRI-GoDeep is a PH Meta-Registry, run under the umbrella of the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute (PVRI). It merges anonymized PH patient related data from various local registries around the world run under the responsibility of PVRI members. It will be operated under the auspices of the University of Giessen/Giessen PH center. Combining deep phenotyping with worldwide outreach, PVRI-GoDeep aims to offer insights into specific geographical and ethnical profiles of PH, to deepen the epidemiological, clinical and molecular understanding of this disease and to promote strategies for improved individualized treatment of PH ...

Quantifying 18kDa TSPO Expression in the Lung in Pulmonary Artery Hypertension (PAH)
The aim of this study is to determine whether there is an increase in the TSPO PET signal (measured with the radioligand [11C]PBR28) in the lungs of patients living with PAH relative to age matched controls. If so, TSPO PET may be a useful technique to non-invasively monitor response to therapy. To do this, we will perform 2 [11C]PBR28 PET scans. The first will quantify the total [11C]PBR28 PET signal. This signal is a combination of the specific signal (VS) and the nonspecific signal (VND). The second scan will be performed following dosing with an unlabelled TSPO ligand. By directly measuring the total [11C]PBR28 signal (scan 1) ...
